De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Next Review 2026: ECAM310.60
De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Next (ECAM310.60) review: TFT color display, 10 drinks, LatteCrema Hot, 1.9 L tank. Is it worth €150 more than the classic Magnifica Evo? Our verdict.

De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Next Review — Our 2026 Verdict
Overall rating: 8.5/10 — The successful modernization of a best-seller
The Magnifica Evo is the most recommended bean-to-cup machine on our site — and one of the best-selling in France. Its successor, the Magnifica Evo Next (ECAM310.60), keeps the base that built that success and adds what it was missing: a TFT color display, 10 one-touch drinks and a tank increased to 1.9 L. All at €499 on De'Longhi's official store. For this review, we analyzed the official spec sheet, cross-checked feedback from early users, and compared its performance with our Magnifica Evo, tested hands-on for 4 weeks.

What changes versus the Magnifica Evo
The Evo Next is a comfort update, not a technical break. Here are the key differences:
| Magnifica Evo (classic) | Magnifica Evo Next | |
|---|---|---|
| Display | Buttons + simple indicators | 2.4" color TFT with icons |
| Drinks | 4 to 7 depending on version | 10 |
| Water tank | 1.8 L | 1.9 L |
| Customization | 3 strengths, 3 temperatures | 5 sizes, 4 strengths, 3 temperatures |
| Street price | ~€350 | ~€499 |
The core — 15-bar pump, built-in grinder, removable brew group — remains in the lineage of the previous generation. In the cup, the espresso is in the same family: generous crema, consistent extraction, temperature adjustable over 3 levels.
The color display: the real comfort leap
The Evo Next's #1 argument is its 2.4-inch TFT color display. Where the classic Magnifica Evo makes you memorize button combinations and indicators, the Next shows drinks as color icons with intuitive navigation. Day to day, it changes the experience: you pick your drink at a glance and adjust size and strength without a manual.
It's not yet the Rivelia's immersive touchscreen (3.5", animations) — here you navigate with physical buttons around the screen. But at this price, it's the best interface we've seen on a Magnifica.
LatteCrema Hot and the 10 drinks
The LatteCrema Hot system repeats the proven formula: external milk carafe, automatic foam deposited directly in the cup, quick rinse after use. Milk drinks (cappuccino, latte macchiato) come out with a fine, consistent foam — the point that sets De'Longhi apart from the manual-wand machines in this segment.
The 10 recipes cover the essentials: espresso, coffee, long coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, and variations. No iced drinks — for those, you'll need the Rivelia or the Philips 5500.
The 1.9 L tank: a detail that matters
At 1.9 L, the Evo Next offers the largest tank in the Magnifica range — ahead of the Rivelia (1.4 L) and the Philips 5500 (1.8 L). For a household of 2-3 drinkers, that's a refill every 2 days instead of daily. Combined with the 250 g bean hopper, the machine lasts the week without reloading for a couple.
Weak points to know
- ~€150 gap with the classic Magnifica Evo for comparable extraction — the gap pays for comfort, not taste
- No named user profiles: the Philips 5500 memorizes 4 people's preferences, the Next doesn't
- Plastic finish: average for the category
- No cold drinks: the segment is moving upmarket on this point, the Next stays with hot drinks
Who is the Magnifica Evo Next for?
Buy it if:
- You want Magnifica reliability with a finally modern interface
- You drink milk drinks several times a week (LatteCrema Hot)
- There are 2-3 coffee drinkers at home (1.9 L tank)
- Your budget is around €500 and you want new hardware, not end-of-line
Consider alternatives if:
- Budget comes first → the classic Magnifica Evo (~€350) makes a very similar coffee
- You want iced drinks and user profiles → the Philips 5500 LatteGo (~€570)
- You alternate between two beans → the De'Longhi Rivelia (Bean Switch, ~€600)
- You only drink black espresso → the Magnifica S Perfetto (~€280) is more than enough
Price and where to buy

Our Verdict
The Magnifica Evo Next does exactly what was expected of it: it takes the most reliable bean-to-cup machine on the French market and fixes its main flaw, the dated interface. Color display, 10 drinks, 1.9 L tank, LatteCrema Hot — this is the Magnifica we now recommend to buyers who want recent hardware and comfort.
The ~€150 premium over the classic isn't justified in the cup — extraction is nearly identical — but it is justified in daily use, morning after morning. At €499, it slots sensibly between the €350 Evo and the €600 Rivelia.

The Magnifica Evo Next is the right modernization of France's best-selling bean-to-cup machine: color display, 10 drinks, 1.9 L tank and the LatteCrema Hot system, for ~€499. The price gap with the classic Magnifica Evo is justified if you want the comfort of the display and more recipes; otherwise, the older model remains the best value for money.
